This was a pretty straightforward dayhike on the boundary between RMNP and Indian Peaks Wilderness. The views from the initial saddle has one of the best views of Wild Basin. Hiking to just this point surely one of the best view-to-effort hikes in all of RMNP (7 miles RT, +/- 2500'). The only downside is that it is slightly crowded. Of course, the farther you get the less people you will see.
I had plans for another hike in the same general area the next day and I since didn't want to make the drive back to Boulder and pointlessly burn fossil fuels, I found a quiet place to car camp. I'm quite proud of finding this one and I will not be sharing the details. (But if you know me, send me a message :) )
