Trip date: April 22-23
This would be my first time to the Mummy Range in the northeast corner of RMNP.
I could barely believe how mild the weather was saturday night: warm and hardly any wind. About 130am I woke up cold and to the sound of of howling wind. I checked what it was like outside and noticed these ice crystals on the inside of the tent fly. I'm sure this happens everytime but I'd never noticed it before. I put in some earplugs to block out the wind, and put on another layer and slept through the rest of the night without issue.
The snow is melting fast. Below are two pictures taken on the way to (saturday, left) and from (sunday, right).
