Band-Aids:
- I like the cloth type since they adhere and breathe better than the plastic ones. "Band-Aid" brand "Tough Strips" are amazingly sticky (think duck tape) and I've used even used these to cover blisters on feet/hands when I didn't have tape.
- Tough Strips weigh 1 gram each.
Reduncancies
Chlorine Dioxide Tablets: My preferred water treatment method is a sawyer squeeze filter. In case it gets clogged, I lose it, leave it on the kitchen counter at home, or have to filter especially putrid water, I like to have a backup.
In general, I no longer use stuff sacks for packing. Everything just goes in loose. The one area I do still use a stuff/dry sack is for hygeine items, first aid kit, repair kit. This is just a zillion small items and it makes sense to pack them together.
After dropping my dark blue ditty bag down a gully in the Gore Range near dusk and never finding it, I picked a bright orange color for the replacement so that its easy to find.
