Trip date: Nov 04, 2017
As per usual I left the trail as quickly as possible and got some good views looking back towards Boulder (see opening picture).
This place has the highest density of game trails I've found.
The geology looked identical to what you find in the Flatirons (lichen covered sandstone etc)
Made my way over to the Little Thompson Overlook
Descended down towards the river and walked along the road for a while and then crossed back over to the open space. Crossed several mini-canyons and found a nearly complete raccoon skeleton in one of them. I thought this little square pond within one of the canyons was pretty neat.
Eventually crossed over to Rabbit Mt. Had to stop several times to take cactus thorns out of my shoes. Lots of Boulder hopping to get to the top. A nice moonlit hike.
