Thwarted by Fumbledeedum and South Summit of Green Mt. (Flatirons)

I'd been wanting to explore the south green mountain area for a while and thought it would be fun to use the Fumbledeedum scrambling route on the south side of Dinosaur Mt as a lead in. Started off of cragmoor road (near Shanahan Ridge TH) and went left on a less traveled trail instead of straight. It was a nice meandering trail on the mesa that eventually merged with the main trail near the "Slab". Worked my way over to Bear canyon and began up the south ridges of Dinosaur Mt.

Upon arriving at the entrance to seal cave (bear cave??) (GPS: N39° 58.359' W105° 17.382') which is essentially the start of the Fumbledeedum scrambling route I found a closure sign posted by OSMP. Dissapointed I moved left and started up the gully between the fourth (South Ridge) and third strata (Stonehenge-Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum-Dum). I think this is called Bowling Alley in Gerry Roach's book. The scree/talus along this gully can be pretty bad. It was easier to scramble along the base of South Ridge than stay in the gully proper. Nice views from the top of the "Dum" col.
