Trip Date: July 20, 2017
Once I made it through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park, I camped at the Falls Campground midway between Grand Teton and Dubois.
Was initially planning on driving the whole way back to Boulder but decided to take a detour near Lander Wyoming to explore the Wind River Range. Went through Sinks Canyon State Park to the Christina Lake Trailhead.
Shortly after this a monster storm rolled through. At one point the gap between thunder/lightning was less than a second. I probably saw twenty direct lightning strikes to adjacent ridgelines/mountains. This was pretty scary.
Had to drive back to Lander area to get gas. Glad I did since the views were amazing.
